LEAP Program Opportunities
     

LinkUSystems, Inc. has redesigned its program called LEAP (Learn. Experience. Acquire. Prepare.). This program allows a recent graduate, student or other person interested in web design, graphic design, web development and its related fields to obtain real world experience in order to build their resume.

NOW HIRING - FALL INTERNSHIP - (Graphic Design/Web Designer)

Candidate is required to have at least some knowledge in Flash or/and SwishMax, Photoshop, FrontPage (or similar program ie: Dreamweaver), HTML, CSS, Windows and MS Office Suite. Candidate should be sharp and able to catch on quickly. Candidate should be interested in entering the field of web design or development as a career.

Your duties would include: In addition to phone support, duties of this position involve, assisting clients with their websites, making website design changes using Photoshop and FTP, edits and modifications, working with HTML, troubleshooting issues on client websites and several additional related tasks, as well as setting up and creating new websites and designs using our website builder. If you are just out of school and looking for real world experience and plenty of room for advancement this may be the perfect job for you.

Additional duties may include assisting current support staff in answering customer service calls, assisting clients with their websites and e-mail, assisting in modification to existing websites.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Photoshop
  • Major in Graphic Design/Multimedia Design
  • Dreamweaver experience a plus
  • Flash/Swish experience a plus
  • Javascript experience is a plus
  • Some knowledge in CSS
  • HTML knowledge a plus

  • If unpaid internship, you must:
    • Currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university.
    • Be eligible to receive college credit.
    • Hold at least a junior status.

Pay: Paid Intership $8/hr / 15-20 Hours a Week (Hours vary M-F ranging between 8am-5pm)
Time Period: Temporary position, 3 month internship (or length required by school to earn credits).
